What comes to mind when you think about exercise or working out? Most people envision lots of sweat and movements that will cause them to be sore later.
Exercise doesn’t have to be a long, drawn out, boring routine. It should be fun!

Here is the solution to including exercise into your daily routine: find fun and interesting ways to include more movement in your daily activities.

Seriously, don’t you love playing Frisbee or badminton with your family? Moms, you can spend time with your children, kick the soccer ball with them at the same time, and guess what – you just burned calories!

Guess what else is an excellent calorie burner? Your spouse will love the answer to this question. Sex is a fabulous way to burn calories because your whole body gets involved.

Perhaps ‘just’ walking isn’t your favorite activity. Instead of just walking, take a day to clean up the trash in the neighborhood or find treasures on the beach with a metal detector in hand. There is always something you can do to add some fun physical activity into your day.

Some other fun ways to add movement into your day:

Take the stairs instead of the elevator
Park the car a bit further down the row
Wrestle and tickle with your children
Create a fun obstacle course and do it together as a family
Instead of going to the local dessert spot, take a walk with a friend
Do some kicks, crunches, or bicep curls during commercials
Walk the mall and create a fun wish list
