The Perricone Diet Plan is a 28 day program that reduces inflammation at the cellular stage which in turn reduces disease and helps you look and feel your best.

Foods You Can Eat

Hydration is important and you should consume 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. You’ll eat three meals and two snacks on this plan. The meals should be a good balance of carbs, proteins, and fats. Dr. Perricone suggests removing pork, veal, lamb and beef from your diet will help you avoid these harmful proteins, and additionally, lose some unwanted pounds. He also recommends an anti-inflammatory supplement.

A typical day would be:

Breakfast: 4 to 6 oz. grilled salmon (Alaskan wild preferred), 1/2 cup cooked oatmeal (non-instant), 2″ wedge cantaloupe or 1/3 cup of fresh berries and 6 to 10 oz of spring water.

Lunch: 4 to 6 oz. grilled salmon (you can add mayo and fresh squeezed lemon), 2 cups green salad made with romaine lettuce or other dark leafy greens with virgin olive oil and lemon juice dressing, 2″ wedge cantaloupe or 1/3 cup of fresh berries and 6 to 10 oz of spring water.

Snack: 1 apple, 2 oz turkey breast or 6 oz plain yogurt, 1 small handful of almonds or walnuts

Dinner: 4 to 6 oz. grilled salmon (you can add mayo and fresh squeezed lemon), 1/2 cup steamed vegetables like asparagus, broccoli, and spinach, 2″ wedge cantaloupe and 6 to 10 oz of spring water.

Snack: 1 pear, 2 oz chicken or turkey breast or 6 oz plain yogurt, small handful or almonds or hazelnuts.

Exercise

Exercise is promoted although there isn’t an exact fitness regimen to follow.
